jQuery 4.0.0が10年ぶりにリリース
jQueryチームは、約10年ぶりとなるメジャーバージョンjQuery 4.0.0をリリースした。 本リリースでは、IE 10以下のサポート終了や、ES Modulesへのソースコード移行、非推奨APIの削除など、近代化に向けた多くの変更が含まれている。
主な変更点：
- IE 10以下のサポート終了: IE 11は引き続きサポートされるが、jQuery 5.0で削除予定。その他、Edge Legacyや古いiOS/Firefoxなどもサポート対象外となった。
- 非推奨APIの削除:
jQuery.isArray,jQuery.parseJSON,jQuery.trimなど、ネイティブで代替可能な多くのAPIが削除された。 - Trusted TypesとCSPのサポート: HTML操作時のTrusted Types対応や、CSPエラー回避のための
<script>タグ利用への変更が行われた。 - Focusイベント順序の変更: W3C仕様に準拠した順序（blur -> focusout -> focus -> focusin）に変更された。
- Slimビルドの軽量化: DeferredsとCallbacksが削除され、ネイティブPromiseの利用が推奨されるようになった。
